Often we are so caught up in responding and reacting to the events of the day that we are frazzled, stressed and feel as though we are at the mercy of what the day throws at us. One way to stop being reactive to your world is to increase observing and noticing what is going on around and within you. Today, pause during the course of your day and allow yourself to notice the experience the moment. Do so without getting caught in the experience and without reacting to the experience. Notice events, emotions, thoughts and other responses. Spend a few moments just being aware of yourself and what is happening around you. If you feel the desire to participate in the moment, notice that urge and let it pass.
